Today is the day they give babies away

My baby is coming home today. Just for a week then she's going with the rest of her jet setter friends for seven weeks to London. I'm so happy the Queen has offered her a place to stay. Cara's flat is being updated and won't be ready for at least two weeks. I told her she should have gone with Madonna's decorators. She tells me she can make her own decisions now. Anywho, there are parties and dinners to attend. Elton John is having an intimate dinner with a few of his friends on Wednesday. They always ask Cara to sing. She says, "Only if EJ will play the piano." He does. She tells me their favorite song to sing together is, "Don't Go Breaking My Heart". When she calls me from his place he always asks to talk to "mom". He's a dear fellow. I believe she and some friends will be heading to Paris for the weekend. One of the most important stops for her will be to see Marcel Marceau's grave. He was a great inspiration to her. She tries to make it every year. In a tribute to him she mimes that she is crying while stuck in a box. It's fabulous. Brings a real tear to my eye everytime she does it. Carla and Nick have a room especially for her. Just for laughs she brings them a bottle of Boone's Farm Apple wine. Of course they drink and toast to lasting friendship and American wine. That's only the first half of her trip. She is going to email me details for the rest of her holiday. Of course I will pass on all the details to you as soon as I hear. On a side note to Beverly, of course I know what time it is. Inside joke.
Have a wonderful day. Looking forward to seeing all of you at Tom and Katie's place next weekend. Do NOT forget to bring a disadvantaged child. I feel so good after showing them what real life is... if only for the weekend.
