And now..... heeeeeres Ed and Farrah and Michael
When I heard that Ed McMahon had died I said, "Man, I'll bet he is relieved." Then I heard that Farrah Fawcett died and I thought, "That's too bad. I feel for her family." Then I heard about Michael Jackson. What a different reaction. I could not believe it. Michael Jackson dead?? It's not possible. I got calls from Stephanie and Cara asking if I had heard. I called Jan and told her. She was in disbelief. I actually felt sad inside. Seventh grade. We were sitting at our lab tables talking about the Jackson Five being on Ed Sullivan. Janet Good said she cried when Michael sang "I Want you Back". When I had you to myself I didn't want you around.... I still know the words. If you listen closely you can hear me singing. The first time we went to Disney World we saw Captain EO. Michael Jackson's 3D movie. I don't remember a thing about it. Maybe because I was trying to keep Betsy's glasses on her bobble head. Now we move ahead a few years. We gathered in the living room and watched in awe at the Thriller video. It was SO good. It still is. Even Fred Astaire liked his dancing. So many good songs. So many good videos. That's all that is on TV today. I really do like watching him dance and sing. That's what I'll miss. The talent and what might have come next. Don't blame it on the sunshine. Don't blame it on the moonlight. Don't blame is on the good times. Blame it on the boogie.
