What's it to ya', Bub

I was visiting my dad today. He's still in the hospital. A week today. There were so many people in the room. I didn't stay too long. Robert was there and I didn't even know it. Dad was having a good time. Laughing and smiling. It seemed good to see him happy. Usually I clean his teeth and wash his face before I leave. Tonight before I left I asked him if I could, he was a little surprised. He said, "not now with all these people in the room." He was right. It would have been embarrassing for him to spit his teeth in a cup while they were all watching. Most were relatives and I don't think they would have cared but he did. I didn't press the issue and told him I would catch him in the morning. As I walked out of his room he was talking and smiling. I don't mind leaving him when he is feeling good. He usually doesn't like visitors. Too much attention for him. These visitors were okay. They had stories to tell, things to show and stuff to chat about. I'm glad they are there. They will keep him occupied until I come back. Tomorrow we get to meet with his doctor. We'll find out what is going on and if we should plan on him coming home sometime soon. I hope all those people went home so he could rest. There's always one dork who doesn't know when to go home. I wouldn't be surprised if they were all still there. As long as he is smiling I don't really care.
