Attitudy Judy

So far we've been pretty lucky. Robert has kept his job even after 280 of the 300 employees were laid off. He's working four days a week but we still have insurance and that is the thing to have. If we lose our insurance we might as well hang it up and go out of business. We do have the option of COBRA which is an acronym for we're too expensive for the average laid off person. We have to have it. To buy it ourselves it will cost $1450.00 a month. There goes the unemployment checks. I understand that our delightful government is going to pick up some of that - for awhile. If we can get Betsy to commit a crime and go to prison she'll have insurance there. As they say, three hots and a cot. I wonder if we crossed the border into Mexico if they would take care of us? The rumor now is they are going to offer two different shifts. One is from 3AM to 11AM and the other fun option is 7PM to 3AM. They figure this will save money on their Consumers bill. Why don't they just get on the budget plan like we are? There's about 25 guys working. They don't make any steel. So how much difference can a few hours make? I guess if it means having a job it makes a big difference and we will do it. How can I even complain when he's still working?? I shouldn't. I should be thanking my lucky stars. I need an attitude adjustment and fast.
